Am an Indian & my Bf is an American but we are in Kuwait at the moment...?

I Just wanted to know if it was a good idea for us to get married in Kuwait & go to the US for me to get the green card since he wants me to have one or is it better for me to go there get married & get the green card because we would be coming back to Kuwait n living here for some more time but do wana get married soon & around his family...Plz could anybody answer my question n clear my doubt...Thanks in advance
