My farrier charges $25 for trimming and I have that done 6 times a year ($150). Providing no one gets sick, just routine care is about $350 per horse (and that's me giving all vaccinations except for rabies, that vet does that as I'm not licensed, but does include West Nile). I always have some emergency calls during the year like cuts or trouble foaling, and these average $250/call. So you're looking at a minimum of $500-$750 per horse, per year-more is they're shod or need additional care. And I have 11 horses-so my vet loves me!
