In need of a diagnosis, please help ?

For awhile now I've been kept awake throughout the night with a knot feeling in my throat an sometimes it makes me throw up. I was thinking maybe acid reflux an that's what the Dr said also. But I'm only 22. It only happens very seldom tho. She prescribed me some previcid or something like that. So I'm gonna take that an see if it does any good. If not gotta go to a ears, nose, and throat Dr. Im in good shape an never had any indigestion problems before so I'm not real sure if it is acid reflux, cause I figured it would happen more often. Does anyone have any suggestions to what else could be wrong with me? Thank you in advance
