About Proposition 19?
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed SB 1449 on October 1, 2010. Effective January 1, 2011, SB 1449 turns the possession of less than an ounce of marijuana from a criminal misdemeanor into an civil infraction. Even if the proposition pes, will we still have to pay the $100 fine for possessing less than an ounce of marijuana?
